Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has sought recruitment applications for the position of Personal Assistant (Group C) Non-Gazetted under GA (P&T) Non-Gazetted under GA (P&T) Department, Govt. From Tripura.
For the Tripura PSC Personal Assistant job, the total number of vacancies is 100. As of 24 September 2020, candidates who have passed the 12th Standard can apply online.

On its official website, www.tpsc.tripura.gov.in, the Tripura Public Service Commission, TPSC, has issued a recruitment notice for the rank of Personal Assistant or PA in Group C for 100 vacancies. The online Application Portal will be accessible from 24.09.2020 to 16.10.2020 (5.30 PM) on the website of the Commission.
The selection process will be conducted on a computer via Prelims, Type Writing and Main Examination.
Salary for the position of Personal Assistant (Group C) Non-Gazetted under GA (P&T) Under GA (P&T) Department Non-Gazetted, Govt. Tripura will be on the Pay Matrix Rs. 5700-24,00/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2800/- PB-2 (Pre-revised) scale of Pay Level 9.
Selection Process For TPSC Personal Assistant
As per the Service Law, as seen below, the recruiting process will require three successive stages:
(i) Preliminary examination (multiple choice form test) of 100 items,
(ii) 100-mark type (using computer) & 200-mark shorthand writing & transcription (using computer) and 200-mark type (using computer)
(iii) 250 Marks Main Examination (Conventional Type Test)

(a) He / She has passed at least a Higher Secondary (H.S.+2) or similar examination from a recognised Board / University with an average of at least 35 percent marks, or He / She has passed a Madhyamik Stenography Course examination from any ITI with 35 percent marks in Madhyamik.
(b) He / she shall have knowledge of the running device and a certificate from any college or university approved by the government or government or registered with the government that may have a minimum duration of 3 ( three) months.
(c) He / she is competent in electronic and shorthand writing / transcription typing in English with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute and 100 words per minute, respectively.
(d) For all reserved group (SC / ST / Ex-serviceman / PH) applicants, the qualification marks as alluded to in (a) above can be relaxed by 5 per cent.

1. The last date of submission of online application is 16.10.2020. (upto 5.30 PM). The application(s) received after the closing date will not be entertained.
2. Preliminary Examination qualified candidates will be asked to submit all required documents at the Commission’s Office. On scrutiny of documents, if a candidate found ineligible as per terms & condition of the Advertisement (including prescribed Recruitment fee) his /her candidature will be rejected.
How to Apply
1. Online Application Portal:
(a) Candidates will have to submit application through Online Application Portal only. The Commission will not entertain any hard copy application. Before submission of online application, read carefully the necessary instruction’s regarding filling up of online application.
(b) Online Application Portal will be available on Commission’s website from 24.09.2020 to 16.10.2020 (5.30 PM). Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her biodata particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission’s Website viz. www.tpsc.gov.in. & www.tpsc.tripura.gov.in Once applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID.
Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through Commission’s website.
(c) Applicants should avoid submitting multiple applications. However, if due to any
unavoidable circumstances, any applicant submits multiple applications then he/she must
ensure that the application with latest Receipt Number is complete in all respects.
(d) In case of multiple applications, the application with latest Receipt Number shall only be
entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one Receive Number shall not be
adjusted against any other Receipt Number.
2. (a) Candidates are not required to upload with their applications any certificate in support
of their claims regarding Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled
Tribes and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PH), EX-Service Men, etc. which will be
verified at the time of the Type Writing & Shorthand Writing & Transcription.
(b) Applicants must be in possession of the prescribed minimum qualification(s) for the post
on the closing date for submission of application as mentioned in the advertisement. Their
admission at all the stages of examination for which they are admitted for the Preliminary
Examination, Type & Shorthand Writing & Transcription and Main Examination will be purely
provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of
admission certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally
cleared by the Commission.
3. No restriction shall be imposed on number of chances for appearing in the examination.
4. Selection Process:
(a) As per service rule the Recruitment process will comprise of three successive stages
viz.(i) Preliminary Examination of 100 marks (multiple Choice Type Test), (ii) Type Writing
(Using Computer) of 100 marks & Shorthand Writing & Transcription (using computer) of 200
marks and (iii) Main Examination of 250 marks (Conventional Type Test).
(c) A limited no. of candidates, maximum 5 (five) times of total vacant posts(in category
wise), will be selected merit wise for Type Writing & Shorthand Writing & Transcription on
the basis of the result of Preliminary Examination, subject to securing minimum qualifying
marks as fixed by the Commission.
(d) It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring marks equal to that of the last qualified
candidate in the Preliminary Examination shall also be called for next stage of the
The Preliminary Examination is a Screening Test only to select candidates for the Type
Writing & Shorthand Writing & Transcription. The Marks obtained in this Examination by the
candidates will not be taken into account for the purpose of preparing the final merit list.
(e) Minimum 50% marks will be the qualifying marks in respect of Type Writing & Shorthand
Writing & Transcription, relaxable up to 40% in case of SC/ST candidates.
(f) The candidates who will be found qualified in the Type Writing & Shorthand Writing &
Transcription will be called to appear in the Main Examination.
